The Vietnam Silver Earth Tiger (Ornithoctoninae sp. “Vietnam Silver”) is an undescribed Old World hobby form from Vietnam. It is a fossorial, fast-moving display tarantula best suited to experienced keepers.
Behavior and Temperament: Fast and defensive when pressured, usually preferring to retreat into a deep burrow.
Habitat and Environment Needs: Provide a secure fossorial setup with deep, compactable substrate, a starter burrow, fresh water and strong ventilation. Maintain moist lower layers without creating stagnant or swampy conditions.
Feeding: Feed appropriately sized crickets, roaches and other feeder insects.
Additional Information: This Old World tarantula lacks urticating hairs and may use threat postures and biting when it feels trapped.
