Xenesthis sp. White

Xenesthis sp. “White” is a New World terrestrial hobby form sometimes referred to as the Colombian Lesserwhite. Because it is not a formally described species name, exact taxonomic and locality claims should be treated as provisional unless supported by breeder lineage records.

Behavior and Temperament: Best kept as a display tarantula. Xenesthis hobby forms can have strong feeding responses and may move quickly when disturbed.

Habitat and Environment Needs: Provide a spacious terrestrial enclosure with deep substrate, a hide, a full water dish and good ventilation. Keep the lower substrate damp while allowing the surface to dry partially.

Feeding: Offer appropriately sized crickets, roaches and other feeder insects.

Additional Information: Maintain moderate room temperatures and avoid keeping the enclosure either bone dry or waterlogged.
