Hissing Isopods ( Colony of 5)

A truly unique isopod — known for its ability to produce a soft “hissing” sound when disturbed.

Unlike most isopods, Armadillo officinalis can stridulate (produce sound) by rubbing body parts together, making them a fascinating addition for collectors and enthusiasts.

With their rounded, pillbug-like shape and subtle natural tones, they’re both functional and conversation-worthy.

Important Notes

• Not as visually colourful as other morphs
• Prefer slightly drier conditions than tropical species
• Hissing is subtle — more noticeable when handled
