The Indian Ornamental (Poecilotheria regalis) is pure elegance wrapped in lightning. One of the crown jewels of arboreal tarantulas, this species is fast, bold, drop-dead gorgeous, and definitely not for beginners — but if you respect her space, she’s one of the most impressive spiders in the hobby.

- Beautiful black-and-white banding on the carapace

Enclosure Type: Arboreal — tall enclosure with vertical cork bark
Substrate: Just enough to hold humidity (1–2 inches of coco fiber or similar)

Decor:
- Vertical cork bark slab (absolutely essential)
- Fake leaves, branches, web anchors
- Water dish on floor or attached to side
Pro Tip: Add good cross-ventilation — P. regalis needs airflow to prevent mold and respiratory issues.
Feeding
Diet: Roaches, crickets, mealworms, hornworms
Feeding Frequency:
- Slings: 2–3x/week

- Adults: Every 10–14 days
Can tackle prey almost their size — they’re extremely efficient predators

Venom is medically significant (stronger than most New World species — not deadly, but painful)
