Lifespan:

  • Females: 15–20+ years
  • Males: 4–6 years

Deep black or dark brown base body

Housing & Care

Enclosure Type: Terrestrial — needs lots of floor space for its size

Substrate: 5–6+ inches of slightly moist substrate (coco fiber/topsoil mix)

Humidity: 65–75% — slightly moist lower layers recommended

Temperature: 74–80°F (23–27°C)

Decor:

These spiders will bulldoze, rearrange, and occasionally burrow — give them room to do their thing!
